Hello world!🙋♀️😄
How have you all been doing? I just wrote something and would love to share it with you guys. So, here’s my latest poem. I hope you’d like it!😊
They say I’m away from this world.
This isn’t where I belong.
They say I don’t fit in the rhyming scheme of their poems.
But I know, I dwell in the melody of my own song.
I know I’m different,
That I’m not among the nameless crowd.
My uniqueness defines me.
I possess an identity of which I’m proud.
They say I’m too weak.
“Too quick to fall apart!”
That I don’t have the bravery they seek.
“Too coward to leave my mark!”
But I know, my tears hold a fury that no one can match;
My brokenness shows my audacity, that it’s my warrior badge.
I know I’m hurt, yet I survive and continue my way.
I don’t care what the world thinks of me, nor about what they say.
They say I’m not a part of their tribe;
That I lack the familial vibe.
They say I’m a different shape and colour.
But I know my heart holds all the stardust and splendour.
They say I lack beauty;
That I don’t possess the finesse and grace.
But they haven’t looked inside me.
They don’t know I’m a magical menace.
I know I’m different,
That I’m not among the nameless crowd.
My uniqueness defines me.
I possess an identity of which I’m proud.
They say my life is dull,
That it lacks thrills and fun.
But they haven’t looked close enough,
As they couldn’t see those rainbows and those brilliant shades of the sun.
The subtle happiness I seek, lies at my windowpane.
It often visits me with those trickling drops of rain.
My comfort lies in those small and cosy nooks;
Where I sit, sniff and read, my treasured, priceless books
I know I’m different,
That I’m not among the nameless crowd.
My uniqueness defines me.
I possess an identity of which I’m proud.

Magical Menace? Such a wonderful metaphor for the existence of life, of a person. The thing about this piece is that it radiates warmth, it radiates a kind of self-love, self-care towards yourself that you cannot help but fill your heart with the delights of warmth and confidence this piece brings with us.
You have stringed poetry with such effortlessness and meaning. I admire the style of your pieces and I have often told you this.
It takes courage to realize how each human being is different, how you are unique and how you don’t need to fit in the crowd, “nameless crowd” as it says here. This consciousness is a sign of growth within a human being and I am so delighted that you are conscious about it and have spent time to transform this consciousness into a gorgeous piece.
The simplicity of the rhyming scheme, adorned with those warmth-filling metaphors is a fundamental highlight of your piece and it really accentuates your thoughts.

My favorite stanza is the same as M’s because as an avid and crazy reader I realize how your uniqueness is defined by the stories you have devoured and the fictional universes you have dwelled in.

Secondly, ‘Magical Menace’ is one of my favourite metaphors that I have ever written. So, I can totally understand what you mean to say!😄
Thirdly, yes, knowing that one is different and seeking self-love at the same time is something that not everybody does. And, that is the very reason I wrote this piece!😊
Fourthly, you might not believe me, but it’s my favourite stanza as well!🙈😄 It just fills me with a soothing and calming sensation because this is not just something that I relate to but it’s absolutely “my own self in a stanza”!😅

Self-love is the most empowering thing a person needs to enjoy their life.
